    Crafting Collective Care

Crafting Collective Care is a monthly community gathering rooted in the belief that care is something we build together. In a world that isolates us, commodifies our creativity, and individualizes survival, this is a space where making becomes a collective act. Through crafting, skill sharing, and mutual aid, we aim to transform creativity into tangible support for our communities. CCC is free and open to anyone who wants to participate.
This collective was born because care cannot be left to institutions, markets, or individual burnout. LGBTQ+ people, BIPOC communities, disabled and chronically ill folks, and others living at the margins have always relied on collective networks of survival. CCC exists to strengthen those networks. Grounded in antiracism, decolonial practice, disability justice, harm reduction, and gender affirmation, this space centers communities most impacted by structural harm while remaining open to anyone who shows up with respect and accountability. Masks are encouraged at our events as one way we keep each other safe and practice collective responsibility.
Each month, we gather around a shared theme or project, such as protest art, zine-making, mending circles, winter gear for mutual aid, or care kit assembly. Participation in themed projects is always optional; attendees are welcome to bring their own creative work or simply come to be in community. We also host a mutual aid craft supply swap at our meetings, redistributing materials so creativity is not limited by access to resources.
As the collective grows, we hope to invite artists, organizers, and community members to share their experiences at the intersection of craft, resistance, and care. If you are interested in leading a workshop or facilitating a skill-share, please feel free to reach out to me by email or at @craftingcollectivecare on Instagram.
Our mission is to make care tangible, through the objects we create and the relationships we build. CCC is not just about producing things; it is about practicing interdependence, nurturing community resilience, and building the kind of world we want to live in, one gathering at a time.
